Inside the Clinic

Working autonomously, MinuteClinic Nurse Practitioners (NP) conduct physical assessments, perform and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and treat common conditions, provide screenings, interventions, counseling, and prescribe medications as needed to patients in specified age categories.

  • Provide accurate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of common family illnesses for patients over 18 months;
  • Help patients manage their well-being with vaccinations and patient education;
  • Ensure patient information, visit history, refer outs, lab follow-up, phone calls, and consults are carefully and completely documented in the EMR;
  • Identify opportunities within local communities for development of outreach activities;
  • Daily use of computer, software programs (EMR), printer, scanner, and credit/debit card equipment;
  • Develop a close working relationship with store manager and pharmacist at the clinic location;
  • Perform non-clinical tasks as required (e.g. reporting, vaccination temperature management, maintain clinic appearance);
  • Complete financial responsibilities pertaining to customer payments;
  • Willing to travel to other local MinuteClinic locations when necessary.

Seeking: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

ProCure Treatment Center in Oklahoma City is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The APRN/PA works in collaboration with Radiation Oncologists and other members of the care team to coordinate treatment and participate in the direct care of patients undergoing radiation (proton) treatment. The patient population will primarily be pediatric, but a low volume of adult patient caseload is likely.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Facilitates collaborative practice with the interdisciplinary team by managing the caseload of assigned patients. Participates in direct patient care in the clinic and responsible for assessment, diagnosis, history/physicals, symptom management, radiologic, lab and prescriptive needs of patients in caseload. Participates in tumor boards and other interdisciplinary patient focused meetings.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

At least 1-2 years experience in direct primary care with one year in Pediatrics or Oncology preferred. Demonstrated interest, ability and concern in specialty of radiation oncology patient care. Must be able to work independently and have excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be self-directed and possess strong critical thinking skills.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program,
Current APRN license in good standing by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing,

OR
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required,
License in good standing as a Physician Assistant,

AND
Current DEA license,
Minimum of BLS, PALS preferred.
