Benefits of Membership

Continuing Education: The annual ONP conference provides Oklahoma nurse practitioners with up-to-date clinical, legal, professional and pharmacologic continuing education, required for maintaining licensure in Oklahoma. Other educational opportunities include ONP meetings with clinical and pharmacologic topics presented by expert speakers.

Employment Information: ONP newsletters and the ONP website include employment listings. Members may also contact the ONP office for current opportunity information.

Leadership: ONP officers are dedicated to promoting the professionalism and practice of nurse practitioners in the state of Oklahoma. Serving as an officer, volunteer or active member enhances your leadership skills.

Legislative Activity: ONP monitors state legislative activity and keeps you up to date. ONP is a voice for nurse practitioners in Oklahoma. The ONP and its members actively support legislation and candidates that benefit health care consumers and nurse practitioners in Oklahoma.

Networking: ONP offers the opportunity to network with other Nurse Practitioner professionals via internet, meetings, conferences, and newsletters. A Nurse Practitioner directory, listing nurse practitioners in our state is published by the ONP.

Scholarships: The ONP offers an annual nurse practitioner student scholarship.

Preceptors: The ONP offers a list of preceptors to ONP student members who need to complete their clinicals.
